OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
Mme Nakinti Besumbu Nofuru (Founder/CEO)
She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Buea and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics (specialized in Gender and Language) from the University of Bamenda. She has volunteered for several women-centered Organizations across the globe and worked as an international journalist who focused on reporting news on women’s issues and concerns for a number of years. She is an active women’s work leader and a great community worker. She has over 12 years experience working for and with women.
Edwina Bayabake L.N. (Programs Manager)
Edwina is a Geographer by training but a change maker at heart. Edwina holds a B.Sc. in Geography from the University of Buea. She has over 5years experience in humanitarian work. She started volunteerism one year after her graduation from the University of Buea in 2013. In 2015, she traveled to South Korea and there she served as the volunteer fund raiser for Rescue Women – Cameroon (REWOCAM). Her dedication to see the organization grow pushed her to return to Cameroon in 2018 where she joined the organization as a full-time staff upon her return from South Korea. She has a passion for women’s empowerment and now occupies the position of the Programs Manager of REWOCAM. As a Programs Manager, Edwina plans and coordinates all activities of the organization. She is a YALI (Young African Leadership Initiative) Alumnus.
Eta Dorothy Arah (Communication Officer)
Dorothy is a holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea. She has an 8 year experience working as an Administrative Assistant and 4 year experience as a Mobile Money Coordinator with a Micro Finance Establishment. She is a YALI (Young African Leadership Initiative) Alumni and a Senior Hero of Mogi Global Leadership Training. As the Communication Officer at REWOCAM, she is responsible for all communication needs of the Organization including photo-videography. She is uses journalism as a tool to facilitate empowerment for women and girls.
Lilian Dibo Eyong (Disability Inclusion Development Officer)
She is a young woman with disability who has a diploma in Trauma Counseling. She is a Disability Rights Activist, First Runner Up Miss Wheelchair Cameroon, representative of Cameroon at Miss Wheelchair World, she is a Digital Ambassador for World Pulse, a Country Manager, certified Storyteller, 1000 Voices Fellow and Every Woman Treaty Alumni, a Confident Coach, handipreneur, co-author and author of numerous articles. Presently, she is the Disability Inclusion Development (DID) Officer at Rescue Women – Cameroon (REWOCAM). She is responsible for the inclusion of women, girls and children with disabilities into every program executed by REWOCAM so as to demonstrate the policy of Leave No One Behind.
Bessa Alexia Epupa (Gender Based Violence Coordinator)
She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Buea. She has experience working with people in distress especially survivors of rape. She identifies, directs and coordinates all activities related to Sexual and Gender Based Violence. She is the Gender Based Violence Coordinator for Rescue Women – Cameroon.
Eju Constance Beloe (Volunteer)
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from National Polytechnic Bamenda .
Apart from being a volunteer she is also an advocate against rape and is working directly under the Gender Based Violence Department. She is equally actively involved in the other empowerment programs of the Organization.
Ojoh Christopher Ojoh (Accountant)
Ojoh Christopher has an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountant) affiliate in Accountancy. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 5 years of experience working in that field. He is currently working as the Accountant for Rescue Women – Cameroon. He oversees all of REWOCAM’s accountancy issues.
